Your new Timesavers 2321-24-06 Pro Segmented Widebelt
Polisher is equipped with double top, drum, dual action
segmented sanding head powered by a 25 HP drive motor on the
first head followed by a 20HP drive motor on the second head.
It includes industry leading standard features. Here is why the
superior design and construction of the 2321-24-06 Pro gives
you the competitive edge.
STANDARD FEATURES
8” Diameter Contact Drum: (first head position)
A dynamically balanced 8” diameter contact drum includes pop
up/down feature controlled by PLC and HMI Interface. Contact
drums also include Micro-Adjustment for belt thickness.
Dual Action Segmented Sanding Head:
Combination head with 5 ½” diameter pop up/down contact
drum with 2 ½” wide electronic segmented platen head
(45 mm wide segments). Allows operator to sand most
veneered product with ease and consistency.
25 & 20 Horsepower Main Drive Motors:
Abrasive head drive motor and other motors are precision
balanced for power and long life. Totally enclosed, fan-cooled
motors add durability.
Infeed Stop Bar:
A sheet metal gate acts as an emergency stop for the operator
when loading the machine. The gate actuates a limit switch,
which shuts down the abrasive belt head and conveyor in
emergency situations.
Dual Infeed and Dual Outfeed Holddown Rolls:
Rubber-covered, spring loaded rolls aid in holding parts onto
the conveyor as they pass through the machine.
Air Operated Disc Brakes:
Used to stop the abrasive head to assure consistent abrasive belt
stoppage in approximately four seconds. This braking system
will not fade under continuous braking and has non-sparking,
easily replaceable linings. The brake disc is located on the main
motor shaft for easy maintenance.
Centralized Control Panel:
Simple operator controls for machine operation. Conveyor
feed, conveyor speed and abrasive belt head are controlled at
this centralized location.

Dial Indicators on Adjustable Drum/Platen Heads:
Allows fine tuning of abrasive belt pressure on parts without the
need to adjust holddown rolls. Also allows the possibility of
running abrasive belts of different thickness without having to
adjust holddown rolls.
PLC Controller with HMI Interface:
Controls most primary machine functions. Programs can be
created and stored to control bed position, feed speed, heads
either on or off and in or out of the cut, belt blowoff duration
and interval (when equipped) and all parameters of the
segmented head(s). Simple start and stop buttons are used to
activate the main motors for the heads and feed system.
Quick Release Outboard Support:
Allows fast removal of outboard frame support to expedite
abrasive belt change. Abrasive belts can be changed in
approximately one minute.
Main Motor Percentage Load Meter:
Provided on each sanding head to show exact percentage of
main motor horsepower being used during operation.
Hour Meter:
Records the actual running time of the machine. This unit is
used by maintenance for scheduled lubrication of key
components.
Motorized Thickness Adjustment:
Conveyor bed setting is motor driven. Allows for changes in
thickness settings of material to be processed.
Variable Speed Conveyor Drive:
15-45 FPM A/C variable frequency conveyor drive allows
operator to easily change feed speed by turning a dial, even
while parts are running.
Part Set-up Device:
Mechanical set-up device opens and closes machine bed to a
specific part thickness.
Through-Beam Abrasive Belt Tracking:
Electronic photo-eye tracking which monitors and controls
abrasive belt movement on the sanding head. Over-travel limit
switches prevent abrasive belt damage in case of mistrack.
U.L. Listed Components:
Includes main motor fusing, electrical disconnect, Star Delta
starters and 110volt control circuit.
